retomar el proyecto musical llamado SIFTING, imprimiendo en su melodía y letras todos sus sentimientos. Su primer desafío fue presentar y hacer triunfar en Venezuela, un país de habla hispana, una banda cuyas letras son interpretadas en ingles.

La banda original estaba conformada por Eduardo Gil (guitarrista, compositor y vocalista), Hermes Gallardo (bajista), Dany Aguilar (Guitarra Líder) y Abelardo Bolaño (Baterista). En 2010 después de que Eduardo se recupera de la pérdida de su madre, empiezan los procesos de grabación del primer Single “All The Hated” y ocurre un cambio de integrantes, quedando entonces conformada la banda por: Eduardo Gil (Guitarra, Voz); Víctor Ladines, uno de los mejores bajistas de la ciudad de caracas; Abelardo Bolaño, baterista muy reconocido en la escena del jazz; y Luis Fernando Farías, que después de recibir cuatro impactos de bala en un robo a mano armada y de haber estado un año convaleciente debido a la movilidad que perdió en su brazo derecho, se recupera y decide que si viviera otra vez dedicara su vida a Sifting, quedando así como el actual guitarrista líder.
En el año 2011 la famosa banda de metalcore Bullet For My Valentine, seleccionó a SIFTING como banda nacional para abrir su concierto en la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela, en este mismo año SIFTING logra publicar el sencillo All The Hated en el famoso portal musical de Apple iTUNES y en el sitio web Amazon.com, este sencillo también está próximo a ser publicado en ROCKBAND NETWORK. El primer disco de la banda cuya producción es independiente, ya se encuentra a la venta en todas las tiendas discográficas de Venezuela desde al año 2012 y el arte utilizado en el mismo fue diseñado por Nathan Sawaya con bloques de lego.
Es a principios del mes de marzo de 2012 donde un nuevo cambio ocurre en la banda, el baterista de la banda “Gillman”, Rubén Limas deja todo por dedicarse a esta gran propuesta llamada SIFTING.
La banda tiene programada para junio de este año la gira por Venezuela en compañía de la Banda D-Mente liderada por Andrés Giménez líder de “A.N.I.M.A.L.” de Argentina. En septiembre compartirá la gira por Sudamérica junto a Trivium y Dragonforce, y a finales de ese mes se presentará en The House Of Blues de Los Ángeles, California.

Sifting raises their fans to the highest musical level; it’s a unique journey within its style, since this band can’t be defined by a specific rock genre. Eduardo Gil sought to sift through the best rock genres, in order to create the best musical experience. By the year 2008, after going through a really tough personal experience, caused by the tragic loss of his mother in a plane crash, he sets his mind into retaking his lifetime musical project called SIFTING, carving within its melody and lyrics all of his feelings. His first challenge was to debut and triumph in Venezuela, a Spanish speaking country, in a band which lyrics are performed in English
The band was originally formed by Eduardo Gil (Vocal/Guitar/Composer), Hermes Gallardo (Bass), Dany Aguilar (Lead Guitar) and Abelardo Bolaño (Drums). By the year 2010, Sifting recorded their first single “All The Hated”, but then the band make a change in the line-up (bass and lead guitar), being the new members lead guitarist Luis Farías, who suffered a terrible accident where he almost lost his life and remained handicapped for over a year, to continue his passion for the music, after his physical recovery he finds in SIFTING the reason to continue his career; and bassist Victor Ladines, one of the best rock bassist in the city of Caracas; alongside Eduardo and Bolaño.
In 2011 the famous Metalcore band, Bullet For My Valentine, chose SIFTING as the national band to open and support their concert in Caracas, Venezuela. In this very same year SIFTING accomplishes to release their single “All The Hated” in the famous music portal Apple iTUNES and also in Amazon.com, this single is soon to be released in ROCKBAND NETWORK. The first album of the band, which production is totally independent, is already on sale in all of the national record stores of Venezuela since the beginning of 2012 and the art used on the cover of the album was designed by Nathan Sawaya with Lego blocks.
It is at the beginning of March 2012 when a new member joins the band. Ruben Limas, drummer of “Banda Gillman”, abandon everything for dedicating his life to SIFTING.
The band is scheduled for June, 2012 to have a tour around Venezuela, tagged along are Banda D-Mente, led by Andrés Giménez, leader of “A.N.I.M.A.L.” in Argentina. In September SIFTING will share the South American with Trivium and Dragonforce, by the end of this month; it will show up in The House Of Blues in Los Angeles, California.
